“Golden Rose” film festival begins

The Golden Rose Festival begins.

"This year the competition is very strong. A total of 15 feature films and 16 short films will screen in the two official competitions of the 40th Anniversary Golden Rose National Film Festival, Petar Todorov, executive director of the National Film Centre, told BNT on September 20.

According to him, there is a very strong jury that will evaluate the participants.

The event will run from 23 to 29 September 2022.

Created in 1961, the Golden Rose National Film Festival is Bulgaria’s most important public event, dedicated to all forms of feature film production. Traditionally held in the coastal city of Varna it is organised by the Bulgarian National Film Centre with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Varna municipality.
