All those who are interested in becoming police officers in Bulgaria had the opportunity to visit the Academy of the Ministry of Interior on April 2. Apart from asking questions, those wishing to study at the police academy and their parents also saw spectacular presentations and reenactments prepared by the academy's cadets, and got acquainted with the physical standards that prospective students have to meet.

The prospective cadets of the academy were briefed about the standards they are expected to reach for enrolment. Some of them are 50 push-ups for boys and 50 sit-ups for girls.
"The competition is really great, all the young people who come here don't just come for the job and the salary, they really want to make a difference, I as a teacher constantly see the enthusiasm in their actions and their training," said Radoslav Markov, senior lecturer , Academy of the Ministry of Interior.
"You have to be calm and composed, that's one of the key qualities you need to have. There should be no outbursts of emotions," said Adrian Karchev, 2nd year student, Academy of the Ministry of Interior.
"A policeman should be a psychologist to some extent, if he approaches people properly, it will be much easier for him to do his job," said Teodor Manolov, 2nd year student, Academy of the Ministry of Interior

The students from the Academy of the Ministry of Interior also demonstrated how to arrest a person who disobeys police orders.

The doors of the Ministry of Interior Academy will be open tomorrow. On Thursday, the event continues at the Fire Safety Faculty.
