The Turkish side will be even more actively involved in carrying out actions on their side of the border so that large groups of migrants do not gather and attack the Bulgarian border. This was agreed by the Bulgarian and Turkish Ministers of Interior, Ivan Demerdzhiev and Suleyman Soylu.
There is already a result from these actions and the pressure on the Bulgarian border police officers has significantly decreased, said Bulgaria’s caretaker Minister of Interior, Ivan Demerdzhiev, who on December 19 took part in the sod-turning ceremony for the construction of a new building of a prison in the village of Samoranovo in Dupnitsa municipality.
