For the sixth consecutive year, the initiative of the British Embassy in Sofia "Ambassador for a Day" will be held under the patronage of Vice President Iliana Iotova.
The competition, created by former British Ambassador to Bulgaria Emma Hopkins on the occasion of International Women's Day, encourages Bulgarian girls to express their views on a wide range of issues of importance to society and develop their potential.
Over the past years, more than 60 girls from all over Bulgaria have had the opportunity to work with leaders in various fields and to draw on their experience.
This year's theme is "Embracing Equality". If you were an ambassador for a day, how would you promote gender equality in Bulgaria? More information, as well as the application form, can be found at ambassadorforaday.com.
The three winners will have the opportunity to participate in the daily working life of Vice President Iliana Iotova and British Ambassador Rob Dixon.
