Commenting on the upcoming extraordinary sitting of Parliament, President Radev on May 17 said that unfortunately, the Parliament will most likely be used as an election campaigning platform.

"Amid all the ridiculous changes in the Constitution, many said that there is at least one positive thing - that the Parliament remains working all the time and that it exercises control over the executive. Parliament, we have seen - neither works nor exercises control. We have seen it in the case of the legitimate claims of the academic community."
