The lung disease ward of “Dr. Atanas Dafofski” hospital in the South Bulgarian city of Kardzhali is closed to patients, because a member of the staff tested positive for coronavirus.
It is thought that the woman contacted the virus from a patient admitted for treatment in the ward.
The nurses who were working day shift yesterday, remained in the ward during the night, BNR said.
The woman from the lung disease ward and another patient infected with coronavirus were admitted for treatment in the infectious disease ward of the hospital.
The head of the hospital confirmed that the lung disease ward has been closed to admission of patients and added that all employees from the ward will be tested today.
