The Covid ward for young patients in Bourgas is fully occupied and it became necessary to provide extra beds. Against this background, new measures for students in the district are being introduced as of today, January 24.
"The beds are provided from those which were for adults, because we still have this capacity. Definitely on behalf of the management of the hospital we want to say that we will not return children who need treatment in hospital. Most of them have the typical Covid-19 symptoms of cough, fever, general fatigue, some have developed pneumonias, which are treated according to established standards," said Dr. Svetoslav Todorov, Deputy Director of the hospital in Bourgas.
"Another measure is that access to shopping malls, cafes, cinemas for children under the age of 18 is limited. They are allowed to go in such places only with parents, guardians. The control over the compliance with the measures will be carried out, as has been done so far, with checks by joint teams from different institutions," said Dr. Miroslava Kiselkova from RHI-Bourgas.
