Bulgaria’s Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev is visiting Türkiye on January 10. The Head of the International Department at the Supreme Cassation Prosecutor's Office Tsvetomir Yosifov also participated in the delegation, the press office of the Prosecutor's Office reported.
Ivan Geshev is scheduled to meet with Türkiye’s Minister of Interior Suleyman Soylu and Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag in Ankara.
Criminal law issues of mutual interest and the fight against terrorism will be discussed during the talks between the heads of the Bulgarian and Tukish Prosecutor's offices.
The Bulgarian Prosecutor General's meetings with Turkish officials will also focus on joint efforts to counter the increased migration pressure in the region and to disrupt cross-border rings for this type of crime.
