Sofia welcomes New Year with 20th edition of "Stage under the Stars" concert

For another year in a row, BNT will present its viewers with the New Year Concert “Stage under the Stars”, which as part of the tradition will take place at Alexander Battenberg square in Sofia.

The concert will start at 22:00 on 31st of December and will run until 00:30 on 1st of January.

The 20th edition of the holiday initiative coincides with the marking of 140 years since the proclamation of Sofia as the capital of Bulgaria and 60 years since the establishment of the Bulgarian National Television.

Last year, the “Stage Under the Stars” concert brought together more than 30,000 people in the square and more than a million viewers watched the live broadcast of the event on TV.

The festive programme will feature famous Bulgarian musicians and groups.

The security measures will be very strict. Traffic of vehicles around the square will be restricted.

The concert will be broadcast live on BNT1.
