Bulgaria’s Prosecutor General, Ivan Geshev, will participate in the 71st annual National Prayer Breakfast given by US President Joe Biden. As part of the tradition, the event is held on the first Thursday of every February, which this year falls on the 2nd, and opens with an address by the President.
The event in Washington will be attended by public figures from more than 100 countries who share common moral and spiritual values. The first prayer breakfast was held in 1935, when local business representatives offered a prayer at a time of crisis for the area. Later, prayer breakfasts began to be organized in all American states.
The National Prayer Breakfast provides an opportunity to build and strengthen personal relationships among leading American politicians, public figures, and leaders from countries around the world.
