Check points at the entry and exits routes of the village of Bukovlak, Pleven district, were introduced on June 16 due to the increased number of confirmed coronavirus cases.
Twenty seven residents of the village tested positive for the virus. Fifty six were under quarantine in the village until last night. Swabs were taken for testing from contacts of 7 of the residents who were diagnosed with Covid-19 today.
The village has 4500 residents. More than 70 have been under quarantine, including the people infected with the virus.
Wearing masks in public places is compulsory. Mass gatherings and events are temporarily banned.
The head of the regional health inspectorate in Pleven explained that the anti-epidemic measures are introduced in order to curb the spread of the virus. For the time being, the police check points are going to remain in place for a week.
