More than 400 performers from eight countries will showcase the finest of their traditional music and dance over the next four days during the 34th International Folklore Festival "Varna Summer".
The line-up includes the host ensemble, featuring a special performance by the Varna Folklore Ensemble, alongside guest groups from Slovakia, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Georgia, the United States, Italy and Colombia.
All performances, running from today until Monday, will take place at the Summer Theatre in the coastal city of Varna. Admission is free of charge.
This evening also featured the festival's most colourful event – the traditional parade of all participating ensembles, who made their way through central Varna with music and dancing.
