A student from the English Language School in Bourgas died in class. The girl was in the 11th grade.
The accident happened shortly before the big break. During a class, the girl felt unwell and collapsed.
According to her classmates, she hit her head on the chair, while she was falling. Initially, the school's medical team came and an ambulance was called. A second resuscitation team arrived, but despite the medics' efforts, the girl died.
School classes at the school were suspended today, January 31.
The girl's classmates are in shock, a psychologist will work with them.
The Head of the English Language School "Geo Milev" in Bourgas Jacqueline Neycheva said:
- This is about a child who died at the school I run. Please, get information from the Ministry of Education press centre.
Has she received medical help?
- Everything necessary has been provided.
The ministry refused to comment on the case. Other possibly relevant institutions also refused to comment explaining there is an on-going investigation.
