"Bulgarian Socialist Party - United Left" will initiate a petition to the Constitutional Court to return the powers of the President to form caretaker cabinets and to declare the October 27 elections annulled.
The coalition will propose changes in the electoral legislation to cut off opportunities for vote rigging. They will also demand a change in the composition of the Central Election Commision (CEC). The Left will nominate its own candidate for the parliamentary speaker and oppose sanitary cordons around any parliamentary party.
"The thesis that is being developed is absurd and we are of the opinion that this is a public game of WCC-DB. In no case can we interpret it as some kind of statesmanship, because the very bearers of this idea very easily take down their own sanitary cordons. Just to remind, this political force was in the same government with the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF), they changed the Constitution, cut monuments with them and GERB," said the acting chairman of the BSP, Atanas Zafirov, on November 5.
