The best films from the world cinema are in Bulgaria. The 38th edition of the Kinomania Film Festival opened in Sofia on November 13 and will inspire viewers with titles dedicated to historical personalities such as Maria Callas, Charles Aznavour, Maurice Ravel, Tsvetana Maneva.
The highlights of the programme also include the film “The Apprentice” with Maria Bakalova. In the film, the Bulgarian actress plays the role of Ivana Trump. Sofia will host the star of "Italian Divorce" Stefania Sandrelli.
As part of the tradition, "Kinomania" opened with the screening of a Bulgarian film. This is "The Herd" (worldwide title: Tarika) directed by Milko Lazarov, which draws attention on the attitude of society towards people who are different.
The film festival will run until December 1st.
