Eight of the 28 districts in Bulgaria are on the way to be classified as Covid-19 dark red zones. The number of infections in them is rising towards the 500 per 100,000 population.
Vidin, Montana and Pernik districts report more than 450 cases per 100, 000 population, based on data from the National Centre for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases.
Currently, the district of Gabrovo is a dark red zone, where the morbidity rate is 567 per 100 000 population.
Twenty twoof the 28 districts in Bulgaria are in the red zone, meaning a morbidity rate from 250 to 500 per 100 000 population.
Five districts remain in the Covid-19 yellow zone, meaning less that 250 infected per 100,000 population.
Kardzhali district is close to the green zone. The morbidity rate there is 107 per 100,000 population.
