The wastewater treatment plant in Bulgaria’s second largest city of Plovdiv has received Certificate of Commissioning, Deputy Mayor Plamen Raichev said on May 31. A 12-member State Acceptance Commission unanimously signed the protocol for commissioning.
The wastewater treatment plant is the most expensive part of the "Integrated Water Project of Plovdiv - Stage 1", the cost of its modernization and completion is 70 million BGN.

It is the most modern facility of this type in the whole country. The methantankers in the station will produce electricity to provide half of the energy needed for the operation of the facility.
