Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borissov on 12th of March participated in a ceremony of mourning in Skopje for the deportation of the Jews from the territory of the present-day Republic of Macedonia 75 years ago.
In memory of the victims of the Holocaust, the Bulgarian Prime Minister, together with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia Zoran Zaev, presented a wreath to the monument to the murdered Jews.
Boyko Borissov is the first Bulgarian Prime Minister to participate in a ceremony to commemorate the deportation of Jews from the territory of the present-day Republic of Macedonia.
The official Bulgarian delegation for the ceremony also includedrepresentatives of the Jewish community. Bilateral talks between Prime Ministers Borisov and Zaev are planned to be held on the day.
