The proposed vaccine is a single-dose antigen vaccine that is not expected to be used at this stage for primary immunization, but in people who had been ill and recovered or those vaccinated with another vaccine against Covid-19.
It is an alternative to vaccination in people with contraindications to other types of vaccines.
The vaccine is stored at temperatures between + 2 ° and + 8 ° C. Expected delivery times are in the first half of 2022.
With the country's participation in the agreement, a wide portfolio of vaccines against COVID-19 will be provided.
The request for 10,000 doses of the Sanofi/GlaxoSmithKline vaccine will allow Bulgaria to take part in the contract and in the future, if necessary, to provide additional quantities.
