Bulgaria’s government has declared 1st of February a national day of mourning for the former President, Zhelyu Zhelev, who passed away on 30th of January.
Zhelyu Zhelv was Bulgaria’s President from 1990 to 1997.
In tribute to Dr. Zhelev, all flags at public institutions will be flown at half-mast.
Lying-in-state ceremony will take place at “Alexander Nevski” Catherdal in Sofia, at 12.00 a.m. on 1st of February.
