Alexander Alexandrov, Bulgaria's second cosmonaut, has died at the age of 74. The news was announced by Prime Minister Rumen Radev in a post on social media on July 10.
Alexandrov became Bulgaria's second cosmonaut after taking part in a space mission aboard the Soviet Soyuz spacecraft in June 1988. He was also a distinguished military pilot.
In his tribute,PM Radev wrote that, as a pilot and military officer, Alexandrov leaves behind an enduring example of discipline, courage and dedication.
