On 7th of November, Bulgaria’s 43rd National Assembly approved Boyko Borisov as Prime Minister of Bulgaria. 234 Members of Parliament took part in the voting. 149 voted in favour, 85 voted against and no MP abstained.
In a separate vote, the National Assembly approved the structure of the new cabinet. From 228 MPs altogether, 144 supported it, 83 voted against and 1 abstained. 136 MPs from the centre-right GERB, the centre-right coalition “Reformist Bloc”, the nationalist alliance “Patriotic Front” (PF) and the centre-left “ABC” party voted in favour of the cabinet nominations. 97 MPs voted against and one MP from the PF abstained.
The new government ministers were sworn in at a special ceremony that closed with the national anthem being played.
This will be Borisov’s second term of office as Prime Minister after GERB and the Reformist Bloc formally signed a coalition agreement on 6th of November to form a government. Borisov signed a partnership declaration with the ABC party. The Patriotic Front declared readiness for parliamentary support to the new government.
The new cabinet will have 4 Deputy Prime Ministers: Roumyana Bachvarova, Meglena Kuneva, Tomislav Donchev and Ivailo Kalfin, who will also serve as the Minister of Labour and Social Policy.

Minister of Agriculture: Dessislava Taneva (GERB)
Minister of Regional Development: Lilyana Pavlova (GERB)
Minister of Environment: Ivelina Vassileva (GERB)
Minister of Healthcare: Petar Moskov (Reformist Bloc)
Minister of Education: Todor Tanev ( Reformist Bloc)
Minister of Interior: Vesselin Vuchkov (GERB)
Minister of Foreign Affairs: Daniel Mitov (from the Reformist Bloc quota)
Minister of Justice: Hristo Ivanov ( from the Reformist Bloc quota)
Minister of Defence: Nikolai Nenchev (Reformist Bloc)
Minister of Culture: Vezhdi Rashidov (GERB)
