The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 2,806 from 20,720 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on October 5.
The daily percentage of positive tests is at 13.5%.
Large number of Covid-19 related deaths has been reported for the day, including a child. During the current wave, a total of 6 children from the age group below 19 years of age have died.
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 508,800.
The active cases are 47,125.
Of the total, 5,204 patients are in hospitals, 445 of them being in intensive care.
During the past 24 hours:
· 1,356 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 440,459
· 5,386 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 2,555,664
· 178 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 21,216
Of the daily cases, 86.49% had not been vaccinated.
Of those who died, 96.07% had not been vaccinated.
There were 947 new hospitalisations, of which 91.13%) had not been vaccinated.
*Those considered to be vaccinated had completed the course of vaccination with 2 shots.
