The first reaction from the United States following Bulgaria’s snap parliamentary elections has come from the Embassy of the United States in Bulgaria. A statement was posted on the embassy’s profile on the social media platform X on April 22, saying:
“The Bulgarian people have spoken, and we congratulate Rumen Radev and ‘Progressive Bulgaria’ on their victory.”
The US Embassy said it looks forward to working with the new government to further develop bilateral relations.
