Former caretaker ministers of economy and finance enter politics and will run in next election

We are entering politics and we will be participating in the elections. Assen Vassilev and I discussed how to continue with the change and decided through political life, not through a new cabinet. We do not have time for registering a party, we are considering options with which we will run in the elections, former caretaker economy minister Kiril Petkov said on September 16.

"The people we will unite with will have the same profile, with a successful career outside politics, in order to be independent. To make it clear where the funds come from, we will require them to sign a declaration of transparency," Petkov said.

If it was our engineering project, we would have had a party now. We saw people's desire for change, added Kiril Petkov.

He said it was "not a presidential party".

"We will not comply with the views of previous participants in political life. We know what needs to be done. We see that whatever we say, disinformation erupts in an hour. Our task is to gather like-minded people and announce our formation within days, but no compromises will be made. We will talk to everyone in person. All kinds of missionaries go back and forth, we have not authorized them," Petkov stressed.

Kiril Petkov handed over the post to the new caretaker Minister of Economy, Daniela Vezieva.

"I am happy to welcome Minister Vezieva, with whom I have worked for 3 months. I am happy with the selection made by the President. I have absolute confidence that the change will continue," Kiril Petkov said during the handover.

"I hope to justify the trust and responsibility placed on me," said Daniela Vezieva.

According to her, the work done by the previous cabinet should be built upon.
