Bulgaria is expected to receive first gas supplies from Azerbaijan in 2019 at the earliest. This became clear after the meeting held in Baku between the Bulgarian Prime Minister, Plamen Oresharski, and the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
The Bulgarian Energy Minister, Dragomir Stoinev, said that after the completion of the construction of the TAP (Trans Adriatic Pipeline) gas pipeline, it would be possible 3 billion cubic metres of gas to be contributed to Bulgaria annually.
