The peak of the fourth wave of Covid-19 in Bulgaria is yet to arrive. The forecast is by the director of the National Centre for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases, prof. Iva Hristova.
According to her, the incidence is increasing like an avalanche and no one can predict when it will stop.
"So far, we have had a much lower incidence rate than the previous two waves of coronavirus in the country. But with today's record so far and the expected next, it is very possible to surpass previous rates of infection. Moreover, the Delta variant is very dangerous, not only because it makes many people ill, but it is more easily transmitted and the symptoms can be very heavy," said Prof. Hristova on October 12.
