As of Monday, 30th June, the medical workers from the emergency medical service stage a protest in front of the emergency centers they work at in order to express discontent with the violence against the emergency aid teams and problems in the system.
The emergency medics say this time they will not put a deadline for their symbolic protests and will insist on protection of their rights until the healthcare system changes. The recent wave of protests was triggered following the assault against Doctor Buen Todorov from Sofia. On 27th June, the doctor was attacked while examining a patient and suffered concussion as a result of the assault. If there are other cases of violent attacks on medical workers, the emergency aid teams say they are ready to undertake civil disobedience which will take place after working hours.
