One of the central streets in the Southwestern Bulgarian town of Blagoevgrad turned into a colourful art gallery. Over 20 electrical panels were painted and turned into works of art by 3 students from the South-West University "Neofit Rilski".
Kiril Stoilov is one of the three student artists who decided to paint the electrical panels in "James Boucher" street in Blagoevgrad, to make the city look more cheerful. At the beginning, his colleagues and him were worried that people might consider them vandals. However the people passing by responded positively to their work.
The young artist hopes that the local institutions will like the idea and in future will assist the artists in their efforts to beautify the urban environment. The townspeople, however, remained divided in their opinion about the artistic works on the electrical panel boards.
The artists hope that their work will encourage people to keep the town tidy and inspire them to further imporve the urban space.
