The first Bulgarian centre for diagnosis and treatment of complications after coronavirus infection opened today, august 17, in the hospital of "St. Mina” in Plovdiv. The centre is for people who have had the infection and show residual symptoms or complications caused by the disease.
The examinations are completely free-of-charge and do not require a referral.
The most frequent complications after Covid-19 are cardiovascular, medical workers say.
That is why an ECG and blood pressure measurement are included in the free-of-charge medical examinations and consultations.
Patients will be able to receive advice on continuing treatment from specialist doctors who will be on duty at the post-covid centre.
