4.4 MAGNITUDE EARTHQUAKE HITS NEAR BULGARIA’S NOVA ZAGORA

An earthquake with magnitude 4.4 on the Richter scale was registered near the South Bulgarian town of Nova Zagora in the morning on 18th of April.

The epicenter is 7 km away from Nova Zagora and 3 km south-west from the city of Sliven. For the time being, no casualties or destroyed building have been reported.

According to data of the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography, the earthquake was registered at 9:39 a.m. An aftershock with magnitude 2,5 on the Richter scale was felt an hour later.
