A poll carried out by “Alpha Research” agency for the BNT programme “Referendum” found that 48,4% from the respondents do not support the proposed amendments to the Electoral Code.
Almost 58% from the polled do not believe that the amendments will increase voter turnout.
To the question “If you were an MP how would you have voted on some of the proposed changes to the Electoral Code”, over 50% of the polled answered they would back the voting in referendums and in elections to be separated.
Over 50% say they oppose the ban for registration of local coalitions. 53% oppose the vote “I do not support anyone” to be counted as valid. 56% firmly oppose compulsory voting.
Nearly 54% of the respondents do not approve the idea of not opening additional polling sections outside the embassies and consulates for the Bulgarians abroad.
