• alcoholic beverages and tobacco products - a decrease of 0.1%;
• clothing and footwear - a decrease of 2.2%;
• housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels - an increase of 1.7%;
• home furnishings, household appliances and household maintenance - an increase of 0.2%;
• healthcare - an increase of 0.2%;
• transport - an increase of 1.4%;
• communications services - an increase of 0.5%;
• entertainment and culture - an increase of 7.4%;
• education - an increase of 0.1%;
• restaurants and hotels - an increase of 2.0%;
• various goods and services - an increase of 0.2%.
In July 2020 the prices of the following food products went up: flour - by 0.2%, white bread - by 1.1%, standard and rye bread - by 1.0%, pasta - by 0.7%, beef - by 1.4%, minced meat - by 0.1%, low-fat milk - by 0.9%, eggs - by 0.2%, butter - by 0.7%, apples - by 7.8%, olives - by 2.5%, beans - by 0.7%, sugar - by 0.1%, vinegar - by 0.2%, salt - by 0.8%, coffee and tea - by 0.1% each, cocoa - by 0.7%, carbonated drinks - by 0.6%, fruit juices - by 2.0%, brandy - by 1.9%, wines - by 0.4%, and others.
In July 2020 the prices of the following food products went down: rice - by 0.4%, pork - by 1.1%, poultry meat - by 0.7%, perishable sausages - by 1.4%, fresh and chilled fish - by 0.6 %, cheese - by 0.2%, oil - by 0.7%, peaches and apricots - by 18.9%, citrus fruits - by 0.3%, tomatoes - by 9.9%, cucumbers - by 25.1%, cabbage - by 5.3%, peppers - by 8.8%, onions and garlic - by 9.8 and 3.0%, respectively, root vegetables (carrots and beets) - by 6.0%, lentils - by 1.6%, potatoes - by 17.4%, ice cream - by 1.5%, mineral water - by 2.3%, beer - by 1.4%, and others.
In July 2020 in the groups of non-food goods and services there was an increase in prices of: electricity - by 2.8%, heat for water heating - by 15.2%, air conditioning installations - by 0.6%, other cleaning and disinfecting agents (liquid household cleaning products) - by 2.0%, washing powders - by 1.1%, diesel fuel - by 2.2%, petrol A95H - by 3.1%, petrol A100H - by 2.0%, propane-butane gas for LTS - by 3.6%, floriculture - by 2.5%, package services for holidays and tourist trips in the country - by 16.1%, catering services - by 0.4%, personal hygiene and cosmetic products - by 0.7 and 0.9%, respectively, insurance related with housing - by 2.0%, financial services of banks - by 11.2%, and others.
During the reported month, in the groups of non-food goods and services a decrease in prices was registered for: clothing - by 2.4%, footwear - by 2.0%, materials for repair and maintenance of dwellings - by 0.3%, central gas supply - by 2.5%, gaseous fuels for household needs - by 0.2%, furniture - by 1.2%, water heaters - by 0.6%, cleaning machines - by 0.8%, TV sets - by 0.7%, dishwashing detergents - by 0.8%, bicycles - by 0.3%, spare parts and accessories for personal transport means - by 0.9 and 0.4%, respectively, personal computers - by 2.5%, car insurances - by 3.9%, and others.
In July 2020, the prices of medicinal products increased by 0.2%, and the prices of medical and dental services - by 0.1 and 0.3%, respectively.
The harmonized index of consumer prices for July 2020 compared to June 2020 is 100.8%, ie monthly inflation rate is 0.8%. Inflation since the beginning of the year (July 2020 compared to December 2019) is 0.2%, and annual inflation rate for July 2020 compared to July 2019 is 0.4%.
The average annual inflation rate for the period August 2019 - July 2020 compared to the period August 2018 - July 2019 is 2.0%.
According to the harmonised index of consumer prices, in July 2020, compared to the previous month, the prices of goods and services in the consumer groups changed as follows:
• food products and non-alcoholic beverages - a decrease of 1.1%;
• alcoholic beverages and tobacco products - prices remain at the level of last month;
• clothing and footwear - a decrease of 2.0%;
• housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels - an increase of 1.5%;
• home furnishings, household appliances and accessories and routine home maintenance - prices remain at last month's level;
• healthcare - an increase of 0.2%
• transport - an increase of 0.8%;
• communication services - an increase of 0.5%;
• entertainment and culture - an increase of 2.4%;
• education - an increase of 0.1%;
• restaurants and hotels - an increase of 7.5%;
• miscellaneous goods and services - an increase of 1.0%.
The price index for the small basket for July 2020 compared to June 2020 is 99.7%, and since the beginning of the year (July 2020 compared to December 2019) is 101.6%.
In July 2020, the prices of goods and services from the small basket for the lowest income earning 20% of households changed compared to the previous month as follows:
• food products - a decrease of 1.7%;
• non-food products - an increase of 0.4%;
• services - an increase of 2.0%.
