One hundred and eighty eight cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours, the national information system said on July 8.
The latest cases were reported in the following regions: Blagoevgrad – 10; Bourgas – 6; Varna - 7; Vidin – 1; Vratsa – 1; Gabrovo – 3; Kardzhali – 4; Kyustendil – 9; Pazardzhik – 2; Pleven – 9; Plovdiv – 25; Razgrad – 4; Rousse – 6; Sliven – 6; Smolyan – 4; Sofia district – 10; Sofia city – 68; Stara Zagora – 5; Shoumen – 2; Yambol - 2.
The total-lab-confirmed cases in the country to date are at 6102. The active cases are 2811.
The recoveries are 3037, including 37 over the past 24 hours.
Out of the total, 483 people are in hospitals, 32 of them in intensive care.
The medical professionals who tested positive for the virus are 465, including 9 registered over the past 24 hours: 5 nurses, 2 health care assistants and 2 other medical workers.
The deaths of people who had a positive test result for Covid-19 are 254. The daily number of Covid-19 associated deaths is 4 people.
