First exit polls by "Alpha Research" polling agency, show “We Continue the Change”-"Democraic Bulgaria" and GERB-UDF are in race for the first place in the April 2 general elections.
Bulgaria goes to the polls
The results of the exit polls are as follows:
- “We Continue the Change” – “Democratic Bulgaria” (WCC-DB) - 26.4%
- GERB-UDF - 25.5%
- Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) - 13.9%
- Vazrazhdane - 13.5%
- Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP)- 9.2%
The parties under the 4% electoral threshold:
- “Bulgaria Ascending” - 3.6%
- "There is Such a People” - 3.5%
- “The Left” coalition - 2.0%
- "National Movement for Stability and Progress" (NDSV) - 0.4%
4.0% of the voters marked “I do not support anyone” option on the ballot.
Voter turnout was 40.5%.
The allocation of seats in the next Parliament is as follows:
- "We Continue the Change"- “Democratic Bulgaria” – 71
- GERB-UDF – 69
- Movement for Rights and Freedoms - 38
- "Vazrazhdane" – 37
- Bulgarian Socialist Party - 25
