At the beginning of September, as part of the tradition, Bulgaria second largest city of Plovdiv becomes the centre of cultural events in the country. The "Autumn Salon of Arts" starts on September 1.
The Deputy Mayor of Plovdiv Plamen Panov explained that the opening of the "National Autumn Exhibitions" will start tomorrow at 6 p.m. At 7 pm there is an official ceremony for the presentation of "Plovdiv Awards", which this year were to take place on May 24. The winners have already been announced and the awards have been presented, but still their achievements from 2019 will be celebrated at a ceremony at the Roman Stadium, which will be broadcast live on BNT 2.
"Scene at the Crossroads" is one of the events that takes place every year. This year the start is on September 11 with the opening of the bas-relief in honour of actor Stefan Danailov. There will be a production of his students from his last class, as well as workshops and other performances.
The festival "Music of the Centuries" will be held on the stage of the Ancient Theatre. The "Days of Music in Balabanov's House" will also be held on an open stage. There will also be the traditional "Week of Contemporary Art", as well as the video festival "Facade" in the Old Town.
