Betina Zhoteva is the new Chairperson of the Council for Electronic Media. She was elected on 8th of May. The term of office is for one year.
Three of the five members of the media regulator voted to support Zhoteva, two abstained.
She succeeds Sofia Vladimirova.
Zhoteva takes office as of May 9.
