Bulgarian athlete Stoyka Krasteva climbed to the Olympic top in boxing. On August 7, she won the gold medal in the under-51kg category at the tournament in Tokyo.
The national athlete won the final with 5:0 (30:27, 30:27, 29:28, 30:27, 30:27) judge's vote against the Turkish Buse Chakaroglu.
The 35-year-old Bulgarian boxer beat Turkey's Buse Naz Cakiroglu in three straight sets in the women's fly gold medal match at Kokugikan Arena
The athlete brought the first gold for Bulgarian women's boxing in history.
This is the second gold for Bulgaria from the Olympic Games in Japan after the gold medal of Ivet Goranova in karate.
