"I hope with political will on both sides to reach mutually beneficial prices and conditions in the supply of natural gas from Russia to Bulgaria," Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev said on February 18 in a telephone conversation he initiated with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin regarding the bilateral negotiations on the prices of supplies of Russian natural gas for Bulgaria.
President Radev expressed satisfaction that his conversation with the Russian President at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum in June has given a strong impetus to this end.
For his part, Vladimir Putin noted that he expects a positive development and a mutually beneficial solution in these negotiations.
President Rumen Radev accepted the invitation of President Putin to attend the May 9 observances dedicated to Victory Day in Moscow this year.
Rumen Radev also noted that thousands of Bulgarians took part in World War II and contributed to the victory over Hitlerism, and offered an invitation to be sent to Bulgarian veterans to participate in the ceremony marking Victory Day.
