The beaches "Coral", "Kara Dere" and "Pasha Dere" become part of the protected areas of Natura 2000 network. This was decided at the meeting of the Council of Ministers on July 28 as the proposals were made by the caretaker Minister of Environment.

The aim is to stop construction on these territories and to protect nature. According to the caretaker Minister of Economy, this in turn will be useful for ourism and the film industry.

The three Bulgarian beaches will become part of protected areas - "Coral" to Ropotamo, "Kara Dere" to Shkorpilovtsi beach and "Pasha Dere" to Galata.

"The pristinel Black Sea coast is not an ordinary commodity that can be sold, but is simply a legacy that should be preserved for future generations," said caretaker Environment Minister Assen Lichev.

The increase of protected areas will contribute to the development of environmentally friendly tourism.

"A tourist who has come to see beautiful nature, does not come just for a weekend and the money such tourists spend now is between 10 and 17 times more than on alcohol tourism, which we have seen in our other resorts," commented the caretaker Minister of Economy. Kiril Petkov.

The two ministers announced that the eco-zones will also attract the film industry.

"Two of the big companies we can mention are Disney and Netflix, which have a huge interest in Bulgaria to make film productions here," Petkov added.

Tomorrow the parameters of the future cooperation with the two film companies will be announced.
