7 new electronic services are already available on the electronic portal of the Bulgarian Customs Agency. The new services were introduced under the recently finalised 2 year project “Strengthening the administrative capacity of the Bulgarian Customs Administration in accordance with the Electronic Customs initiative of the European Union".
The new modern technology will enhance the quality of servicing of customers and will help individuals and business to save time when issuing various documents. Automated information system for correspondence management and administrative servicing has been built under the project. The system is now fully operational in all customs offices. The project cost 3 million BGN.
Lachezar Krustev, the Deputy Head of the Bulgarian Customs Agency, has said that this project facilitates individuals and businesses’ access to the electronic services provided by the customs agency through an electronic portal, which is reliable, flexible and efficient.
