Bulgaria’s Parliament on January 29 rejected the fourth no-confidence motion against Boyko Borissov’s 3 cabinet.
The vote was supported by 102 MPs from the opposition Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) and from the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF).
124 MPs from the ruling GERB, the United Patriots and independent MPs voted against. Nine MPs from Volya party abstained.
The no-confidence vote was filed by the opposition BSP on on January 20 against the government over failure in environment and water policy. The motives included the water shortage in the town of Pernik, air pollution and suspicions that some businesses in Bulgaria are involved in unlawful handling or burning of imported waste.
