Hundreds of enthusiasts joined a Bulgarian horo dance on Grand Place Square in Brussels, following the steps of Kristalina Georgieva, European Commission Vice President for the Budget and Human Resource, the press office of the commissioner announced on 17th of April.
Kristalina Georgieva opened the grand horo, which is organized at her initiative for the fourth consecutive year within the Balkan Trafiк festival for Balkan music and art.

The Bulgarian dance ensemble “Razlozhki Meratsi”, who were special guests at this year’s event, opened the celebrations. Soon after that, all admirers of Bulgaria folk dances joined the horo. Apart from the Bulgarians, dressed in traditional costumes, many representatives of other EU countries, including Belgium, Austria, Germany and Great Britain, danced the horo.
The “Grand Horo Dance” is carried out with the support of Bulgaria’s Ministry of Culture. Other participants in the festival were the Belgian-Albanian group Vatra, the Albanian group Vikena Kamenica – Ali Pasha & Keli Band, the Belgian-Turkish dance and music group Dillere Destean and the Romanian diaspora group, Floare de Colt.
