Olympic medalist Mirela Demireva qualified for the final in the high jump at the Olympic Athletics Tournament in Tokyo. The Bulgarian overcame the qualification norm of 1.95 metres to be among the best.
A total of 14 athletes qualified for the last stage of the Games.
Mirela Demireva overcame, from her third attempt, the height that will allow her to participate again in the battle for medals. The final in the discipline is on August 7 (Saturday) at 13.35..
At the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro, the Bulgarian won a silver medal with a result of 1.97 meters.
