The new train timetable of the Bulgarian state railways, BDZ-Passenger Transport EOOD, will enter into force as of Sunday (December 15th), In the next year, the volume of transport services will be increased as envisaged in the contract with the state for the provision of public transport.
The total of 579 trains will include 14 international fast trains (2 of which will only operate during the summer season), 77 fast trains (4 of which will only operate on certain days of the week), 135 passenger trains and 353 suburban passenger trains, some of which will only operate on certain days of the week or at certain times of the year.
With the introduction of the new timetable, the number of passenger trains in some destinations will be increased and train connections will be significantly improved at some of the main interchange stations, with a significantly reduced waiting time at the stations.
