The Bulgarian rhythmic gymnastics team on August 8 won a gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics.
Their ball routine topped the scoreboard followed up by their stunning 3 Hoops + 2 Pairs Of Clubs exercise which earned them a combined score of 92.100.
With their magnificent performance, Simona Dyankova, Stefani Kiryakova, Madeleine Radukanova, Laura Traats and Erika Zafirova, brought a golden end to Bulgaria’s in the Olympic games.
The main credit for the award goes to the head coach of the ensemble Vessela Dimitrova and her assistant Mihaela Maevska.
Bulgaria leaves Tokyo Olympics with a total of six medals. In addition to the success of the rhythmic gymnastics ensemble, Stoyka Krasteva (boxing) and Ivet Goranova (karate) also won gold for Bulgaria. Antoaneta Kostadinova won silver in 10 m pistol shooting. Taybe Yusein and Evelina Nikolova won bronze medals in wrestling.
