More than 12 thousand spectators stood up to applaud and cheer the Bulgarian violinist virtuoso Vasko Vassilev, who gave a concert on 29th of February in Sofia’s Arena Armeec. This is his first solo concert in a venue of such a large scale. Many music lovers, friends of the artist and musicians from the whole world came to experience the beauty of his performances of classical, operatic, flamenco and other styles of music.
The famous Bulgarian singer, Lili Ivanova, often referred to as the Prima of Bulgarian pop music for her contribution to the culture of the country and winner of many international music awards, was also among the audience.
After more than two hours of extraordinary performances, the audience gave him a standing ovation. At times, the artist not just played, but he "flew" on the stage with his violin.
The energy of the beautiful music was enhanced by the performances of the best dancers of "Covent Garden" and the Berlin State Opera. Many musicians from Tokyo and Malaga, as well as from the Spanish “Chambao” band appeared with him on the stage.
