Bulgaria’s Ministry of Health on Wednesday will file a report to request extension of the epidemic emergency situation until the end of September, Health Minister, d-r Konstantin Angelov said on August 25.
We do not intend to tighten anti-epidemic measures if the number of newly registered coronavirus cases remain at this level, he said.
The Health Minister is in the coastal city of Varna for the opening of a coordination centre for distributing patients in hospitals. The new unit will be in the clinic for infectious diseases of St. Marina hospital.
The current epidemic emergency expires at the end of August.
