Prime Minister Boyko Borisov met with LUKOIL Presidenti, Vagit Alekperov. The two held talks within the framework of the World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting in Davos on January 21.
Prime Minister Borissov highlighted the good results that the Bulgarian economy has achieved in the past year, as well as the raising of the credit rating of the country. "Bulgaria is developing steadily and this gives rise to greater investor optimism and greater confidence in our economy," Borissov noted.
He emphasised the serious work of the Bulgarian government in providing a favourable business environment, so that the country would continue to be an attractive destination for foreign investors. Borissov gave an example with a number of foreign companies that opened or expanded their production in Bulgaria during the past year.
Lukoil's intention to develop its business in Bulgaria was noted during the meeting of Borissov and Alekperov.
