The Bulgarian entry “If Love Was a Crime” qualified for the final of the 2016 Eurovision song contest. In the face of strong competition with 17 other entries, the song performed by Poli Genova was one of the 10 songs to reach the final from the semi-final on 12th of May.
Entrants from 26 countries will compete on the stage in the Swedish capital Stockholm on Saturday, 14th of May, including Poli Genova who will again perform Bulgaria’s entry in Europe’s most watched TV music show.
Here are the ten qualifiers from the second semifinal, in the order they were announced:

Poli Genova is an artist and lead singer with many talents. She performs equally well on TV and on the music and theatre stage. She is no stranger to the Eurovision Family of Events: In 2011, she represented Bulgaria in the Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf with her song Na Inat, and in 2015 she hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Poli Genova started singing at the age of four at the popular Bulgarian children's music group Bon-Bon and later helped establish their label. She studied clarinet at a musical school in Sofia and then film directing at the Bulgarian National Academy for Theatrical and Film Arts.
Poli was chosen to represent Bulgaria in 2016 Eurovision because of her popularity among the fans of the song contest and her brilliant performance as the host of the 2015 Junior Eurovision, organized by the Bulgarian public broadcaster, BNT.
